Hi, I'm Arrthy!

An award-winning journalist dedicated to telling stories that matter by covering local issues and global affairs across multiple platforms. I currently work as a digital producer at Reuters, creating video content on international news events.

Prior to that I worked at CBC Vancouver as a writer, reporter and social media producer. Some of that work has been recognized with awards, including RTDNA's Best in Social for coverage of wildfires impacts in B.C. and Best Feature for a project highlighting the lives lost in the toxic drug crisis. I was also entrusted with leading training initiatives, helping fellow journalists refine their approach to social media reporting and empowering them to produce their own stories.

I've also worked as an investigative fellow with programs like News21, where we looked into police reform in America, and the Global Reporting Project, where we explored the impacts of an aging global population.

I have a Master of Journalism and a Bachelor of Science from the University of British Columbia. Those experiences have given me a deep understanding of both storytelling and complex research to support my work.

With a passion for highlighting underrepresented voices, I hope to push boundaries in my pursuit of stories that matter—especially those that amplify the voices of marginalized communities.
